Oklahoma Deputy Donates Organ to Complete Stranger

It’s an officer’s motto to protect and serve, but one Rogers County, OK, deputy went above and beyond the call of duty. Corporal Paul Tucker has decided to donate his kidney to save the life of a man he’d never met, reports KJRH.

Nashville, TN, resident Greg Morton, 51, has been on dialysis for two years. Both of his kidneys have failed. Corporal Tucker never met Morton before he agreed to give him his kidney.

“I got the phone call from Vanderbilt and they told me that I wasn’t only a match, but that I was around a one in a million match,” Corporal Tucker said.
